Around Pittsburgh, specialist offices tend to cluster near hospitals and in medical office parks, and wait times for a consultation run from a few days for an endodontist to several weeks for a busy orthodontist. Most consultations across Pennsylvania are free or low-cost and come with a written treatment plan and price; ask whether the fee is in-network for your plan, what sedation options exist and how many visits the treatment takes. A second opinion is normal for implants, jaw surgery and full-mouth reconstruction, and reputable specialists expect it.

Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Pittsburgh is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Oh my, you are in pain, upset maybe even scared, yep me. Made it to 71 before my first root canal. The minute I walked in the door that anxiety was met with relief, help was there. The staff were so kind welcoming, and knowledgeable. I always observe how drs communicate with their staff. The Dr and assistant worked together like a fine tuned machine. All through sincerely asking me if I was alright. Explained as we went along. dont wait or put off getting taken care of. Apex is more than an endodontic specialty, they also specialized in getting you through stress free.

I have major dentist anxiety due to some unfortunate experiences. There have been problems numbing me up to do work, and I’ve had trouble convincing some drs of that. Unfortunately, I found myself needing a root canal. I’d never had a root canal and was terrified. I explained my concerns, and I was heard. I made the dr aware of sensation a few times during the work, and he immediately administered additional numbing. I didn’t have to convince him I needed it! The work was done in less than an hour, and the root canal was nowhere near my most difficult procedure compared to those done elsewhere (filling cavities and prepping/installing crowns). I was listened to and my need to be numb during the work was respected. I’m very pleased.

To anyone reading this who is afraid of going to a dentist of any kind, or just wary of preventative or active medical treatment for any reason, this is where you want to have your endodontic work done. I have visited Apex twice for treatment with identical experiences, and I left both feeling confused that I could leave dental treatment happier than when I walked in. The quality of work and professionalism is exceptional. Dr. Levine is personable, knowledgeable, and skilled. The staff are welcoming and communicative. The space is clean, modern, and is designed to put your nerves at rest. For a process typically filled with anxiety beforehand, Apex sets the bar for a surprisingly pleasant and straightforward endodontist experience.

I was greeted at Apex Endodontic Specialists with a kind and very friendly staff. the waiting room and procedure rooms were state-of -the art technology and beautifully appointed. The professionalism and ease that Dr Levine exhibited, gave me confidence that the procedure would go well and it did. It's been weeks since my visit and I have no problems of any kind. I would and have recommended Apex Endodontic specialists to my family and friends. Sincerely, Robert Shaw

My experience at Apex Endodontics was fantastic. Dr Levine and his staff calmed all of my nervousness with their kindness, their professionalism and skill, and giving their time to answer my questions and inform me of of every step in the procedure of a root canal. I was so nervous when I made the consult appointment, but every step of the way from the minute I walked in the office, I felt very cared for, by everyone there. Thank you!!
